I really like the abundant features that come with the domain space. I'm utilizing or plan to utilize most of the features in the fantastico area. I find the control panel to be extremely easy to navigate and editing some of the files is a breeze once you get use to understanding the coding used. IE: Changing images in the image gallery for example. (My fiance and I are into roleplaying - playing characters in a made up environment and Sharnyl.Net is the home for our realm we've created. )

My daughter, whom is sixteen years old, is all excited because she's always wanted her own blog and now she can have that from our domain; plus, I have the added reassurance that I can keep an eye on it without truly invading her privacy or her space.

I find dealing with the staff of your company to be extremely pleasant and your help and response time has been simply amazing. Thanks so much!

  1. I changed my control panel password and now I can't get in.
    Passwords are case sensitive and are limited to 8 characters. If you entered a password longer than 8 characters please try entering the first 8 characters when logging into your control panel.

    You can upload your page(s) immediately by pointing your FTP client to the IP address you were assigned when you opened your account. After your domain is fully propagated through the system, you can upload to yourdomain.com via FTP or FrontPage Extensions.

    All CGI scripts should be uploaded to the cgi-bin folder, located under the www folder, for your domain. Be sure to follow the instructions for the script you are uploading regarding setting permissions on the files and folders you create, as they vary from script to script

  6. I uploaded my files, but I don't see my page?
    If our default "Welcome to the Future home of", index.html, has not been replaced by another index page, then anyone going to domainname.com will still see that page instead of some other home page. This is the order in which the web server looks for a page to put up as the "home" page: >Directory Index: index.html, index.shtml  Just delete the index.html file and anything after it in this list will then come up automatically. Notice that "home.shtml" is NOT on the list and so will not show up as your home page. You would need to rename it.
